SCHEDULE OF HIS GRACE, NIKON
BISHOP OF BOSTON, NEW ENGLAND AND THE ALBANIAN ARCHDIOCESE

Great Lenten and Paschal Schedule

2009

AUGUST
On August 8-9, the bishop visits the Northern Deanery and celebrates
liturgy at St. Jacob of Alaska Mission in
Northfield, VT. For the feast of the Virgin Mary, His Grace shall be at
the Dormition of the Theotokos Church in Cumberland, RI on
August 14 and 15. On Sunday, August 16, St. Mary's Assumption Church in
Worcester greets the bishop for an Archpastoral visitation.
As chair of a commission, Bishop Nikon travels to St. Tikhon's Seminary
in South Canaan, PA for meetings on August 18 and 19.

To celebrate the Centennial of Holy Resurrection Church on August 22-23,
the bishop journeys to Clairmont, NH for the ordination of Nicholas
Dillerman.. On Wednesday, August 26, His Grace presides at the Diocesan
Council of the New England Diocese held in New Britain, CT.
On August 29 and 30, the bishop visits St. Nicholas Church in Jamaica
Estates, NY for the diaconal ordination of Nathan Preston.

SEPTEMBER
For the Indiction, the bishop participates in a special meeting of the
Holy Synod of Bishops on Tuesday through Thursday September 1-3
at the national chancery in Syosset.NY. He then returns for a deanery
meeting in Stamford, CT. From September 4-7, His Grace joins His
Beatitude, Metropolitan Jonah at All Saints Church in Hartford, CT for
the annual convention of F.O.C.A . On September 10 and 11, the bishop
engages in conference calls and a pastoral consultation in Auburn, MA.
On Monday and Tuesday, September 14 and 15, the bishop will attend
meetings in Syosset of the OCA Pension Board, of which he is episcopal
moderator. He then journeys to South Canaan on September 16 and 17 for
sessions of the investigatory commission at St. Tikhon's Seminary. His
Grace makes an archpastoral visitation to St. Nicholas Church in
Pittsfield, MA on September 19 and 20. From September 21 to 24, the
bishop attends an Autumn Meeting of the Holy Synod of Bishops and the
Metropolitan Council in Syosset, NY. Presiding at the Annual Assembly of
the Albanian Archdiocese from September 25-27, His Grace shall be in
Philadelphia ad St. John Chrysostom Church.

OCTOBER
From October 3-4, the bishop presides at the 90th Anniversary Jubilee of
the Annunciation Church in Natick, MA. On Thursday, October 8, he helps
celebrate the Centennial Year of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Boston\.
On Saturday, October 10, His Grace shall ordain Nicholas Dellerman at the
parish in Norwich, CT. On Sunday, October 11, he will join a Family Day
in Southbury, CT. His Grace visits the Nativity of the Virgin Church in
Chelsea, MA From Thursday to Saturday, October 22-24, His Grace attends
the Annual Assembly of the Diocese of New England in Waturbury, CT. On
Sunday, October 25, the bishop makes an archpastoral visitation to St.
Nicholas Church in Springfield, MA and on October 31st, attends Vespers
at Three Hierarchs Church in Ansonia, CT.

NOVEMBER
On Sunday, November 1, His Grace celebrates Hierarchic Liturgy at Three
Hierarchs in Ansonia, CT. For Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8,
the bishop visits Christ the Savior Church in Southbury, CT. On the
weekend of November 14 ad 15, the bishop makes an archpastoral visitation
to St. John Chrysostom Church in Philadelphia for their patronal feast.
On November 21 and 22, the bishop visits the Northern Deanery for an
archpastoral visitation to Holy Trinity Church in Springfield, Vermont.
