For more than a century, St George Cathedral has served as spiritual center for Orthodox Christians in our neighborhood, as well as in Greater Boston and beyond. First established to minister to newcomers from Albania, the parish is now comprised of worshippers from many backgrounds and diverse ethnic origins. As headquarters of the Albanian Archdiocese of the Orthodox Church in America, we provide a broad-based ministry drawing folks from over 40 area towns in the Commonwealth as well as neighboring states.
Our parish serves an enduring witness to proclaim the Gospel of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as transmitted from the time of the apostles and the Early Church through the centuries to the present day. Our approach is both traditional in liturgy and current in perspective as the faithful address contemporary issues at home and in society to find personal salvation in the Living God.
